“Day One” was the motto on Tuesday, 2022/09/20 at the headquarters of the ISOLITE Group in Ludwigshafen, because there the contracts for the change of shareholders from Showa Denko to CERTINA Group were signed by the respective representatives (“Closing”). Thus, as of this day, the CERTINA Group is the new shareholder of ISOLITE GmbH.
CERTINA is a family-run industrial holding company, founded, built up and represented by the exceptional businessman Dr. Hans Wehrmann. They look back on more than 25 years of investment experience with over 65 successful transactions in various industries. The group currently comprises 20 companies in five industries and generates sales of more than EUR 750 million with over 3,000 employees. Since their foundation, they have invested according to the principles of sustainability, continuity and corporate responsibility. They create long-term value for generations in the interests of employees and society. Some companies have been part of their portfolio for over 20 years.
This is also the approach after taking over ISOLITE: with a clear vision, strategy and mission to lead ISOLITE into a stable, sustainable future with healthy growth.
In order to implement these goals and to advance the transformation, ISOLITE will be managed by the managing directors Dr. Stefan Brungs and Mr. Michael Knoll with immediate effect.
Dr. Stefan Brungs has been Managing Partner of the CERTINA Group since 2019 and is responsible for the automotive division there. His professional experience includes 6 years of strategy and restructuring work at the Boston Consulting Group and 23 years of corporate development in the Volkswagen Group as Managing Director and Board Member for BENTLEY and BUGATTI, among others. Dr. Brungs is an outstanding asset for ISOLITE.
Mr. Michael Knoll was global head of development and authorized representative of ISOLITE for many years and is a forward-looking and important pillar of the managing director tandem due to his strong roots in the company as well as his profound know-how in the technical and operational areas of the company.
“Day One” means not only a new beginning for our company with strong roots that go back over 100 years, but also that a chapter in the company’s history is being closed. The period as part of Hitachi Chemicals or Showa Denko (2017-2022) was characterized in recent years by the pandemic, chip crisis and most recently by the Ukraine war. During this time, of course, not only could success be celebrated, but also crises had to be overcome. ISOLITE would like to thank the previous management, Mr. Satoshi Tsukahara (CEO), Mr. Yuji Matsuo (CFO), Mr. Yasutomo Jimbow (COO) and Mr. Masatoshi Mori (CSO) for their great commitment and extraordinary support.
To our valued business partners, we would like to say:
“We look forward to actively and successfully shaping this new chapter in ISOLITE’s corporate history together with you. We will do our best and invite you to be a part of this success story.”
A new chapter begins – “Be a step ahead” with ISOLITE.
