The Pruss Group (consisting of Pruss and Hannemann) is active in a high-tech and consulting-intensive market with the development, manufacture and sale of special valves and valves for regulating the flow, quantity and pressure of sensitive media in energy-generating plants.

Specialization

The group of companies is characterized by individual customer solutions and high quality. Individual solutions are implemented in close professional cooperation with the customer. The company’s own design provides solutions at the technical limits. Modern production and test facilities as well as CAD/CIM technology provide the necessary infrastructure for this.

Products

Pruss produces control valves with various drive options (electrohydraulic, electromechanical, etc.) to solve even the most difficult control requirements, while Hannemann specialises in valves and stations for regulating the water and steam cycle in power plants. High-quality metal alloys (e.g. bronze and highly quenched and tempered steels) are custom-made individually by experienced employees on CNC-controlled machines. Our own test bench, which was developed together with the Technical University of Hanover, guarantees a 100 percent functional standard.

Customers

Quality valves for special applications, such as thermal power plants, industrial plants, gas turbines, pipelines for gas, crude oil and petroleum products, convince customers such as Alstom, Babcock and Siemens. The Pruss Group is in a monopoly-like position in Europe in the field of control valves for the control of oil and gas power plants. Almost every gas and oil power plant of the Siemens and Alsthom companies is controlled by Pruss-Armaturen. The company has fought hard for this position for decades through almost 100% adherence to delivery dates and the creation of a technological advantage that is difficult for competitors to catch up. Due to these circumstances, Pruss has been able to significantly increase sales in recent years.
