CERTINA acquires ElringKlinger Heat- & Noise Shielding plants in Switzerland and the US and thereby strengthens the High Temperature Solutions division

[07.10.2024] – The CERTINA Group, with headquarters in Munich, Germany, today announces the signing of the purchase agreement to acquire two plants producing thermal and acoustical shielding of ElringKlinger AG. The transaction includes the sites in Sevelen, Switzerland, and Buford, USA. The purchase agreement was signed on the 7th of October 2024 and the closing is expected until the end of the year.

With this strategic acquisition, the CERTINA Group gains two strong companies in the domain of high temperature solutions. This allows CERTINA to expand its market position and technological expertise in thermal and acoustic solutions. The close partnership with the ISOLITE Group, a subsidiary of CERTINA, creates valuable synergies for the development of efficient and innovative high-temperature insulation solutions.

The acquisition of the ElringKlinger subsidiaries in Switzerland and the United States, which together generate sales of around €175 million, will increase the CERTINA Group’s sales in the High Temperature Solutions division to over €275 million. In addition, the global footprint will be strengthened with a total of twelve production and technology sites in the United States, Europe and Asia.

This step constitutes a significant milestone in the history of the CERTINA Group. It reflects the company’s commitment to remain a strong and reliable partner for its customers and to further expand its leadership in the market of advanced insulation solutions.
